Falloween!

 Good morning, my lovelies. Errr..... I mean “BOO!” It’s Falloween!

This is going to be a longish post, so settle in! I’ll try to address questions before they happen, but ask anything I didn’t get to in the comments.

Because Sugar and Spite has grown so much (thank you!!) over the last year, this release will be a little different.

We will have a 2 part release. Because 2020 is a dumpster fire, and the weather is so weird, I’m not comfortable releasing scrubs or wax. The first release will be hair mist, perfumed spray, perfume oil, deodorant, eau de parfum, body cream, shower gel and soap.

To streamline the order filling process, there will be 3 scents available in soap and deodorant that are meant to be complimentary to the general release. I’m doing it this way for several reasons, the main one being that it’s easier to do an assembly line and make everything in big ol bulk. Also, many of these scents should actually be premium, so it’s difficult to translate that into, say...soap. Because I’m bringing back some old favorites (it’s true!), the catalogue is kind of large, and I want to keep on top of it. I know some will be disappointed, and I thought long and hard about the decision.

I went through all your suggestions for returning fragrances, and when shopping for the components, found that several of the companies have gone out of business. That makes me sad for so many reasons, the number one being that these perfumes are likely to never return.

Here’s a really important thing - while samples will be available for this release, I’m limiting the number of sample sets to TWO. While I don’t mind doing samples AT ALL, they are time consuming. As many of you old-schoolers know, Sugar and Spite’s fall release is the biggest of the year and the TAT can be kinda crazy. Ok, not “kinda.....” REALLY crazy.

Because of the growth of the company (again thank you!), this season will be a new experience for all of us. I would say get your order in ahead of the game and please please be patient as I navigate this.

Special release:

Some Velvet Mourning - 

blonde oak, a wreath of flowers - carnation, lilac, tobacco and orange blossom - enveloped in a creamy white musk, delicate vanilla, pale amber, and the smallest wisp of funereal incense smoke. 

OLD GHOSTS:

Longing for Shadows - 

A Melancholy that only happens when the sun is out. Vanilla husk, a tiny drop of honey water, Egyptian musk, warm cinnamon, a wisp of cigar smoke, and a wee shot of bourbon to help chase the pain away.

A Murder of Crows -

Dirty black feathers, ozone, dry tobacco, chimney smoke, black agar, vanilla

Spooky Girls Club - 

Tobacco blossom, dried fruit, frankincense, patchouli, balsam accord, sticky myrrh, and aqua net.

Cadaver Corn - 

candy corn and toasted marshmallow fluff

Bat Cookies - 

sugar cookies, incense and blood orange

Tea With Beasts - 

black, red and green teas, dusty spices, cardamom pods, sandalwood and red musk

Spooky - 

Nag champa and graveyard dirt

Soap and deodorant

Malediction- 

Black currants, sugar, fresh green herbs, cut leaves, and a bitter, sharp bite of wormwood

Benediction - 

Smooth bourbon, blackstrap molasses, baked bread, caramelized sugar, apple butter

Bitterbliss - 

Red tea, nutmeg, vetiver, resinous myrrh, saffron, oat porridge

Incense:

Shadowkeeper

Warm, rich dragons blood, bursting black cherries, a sinful swirl of red wine and winking embers

The blackest patchouli, tree bark, damp leaves, neroli, and clove bud

Bloodwolf -

Animal red musk, blood amber, dank cedar, and a whisper of leather tainted rose
